Day 01: Drive from Kathmandu to Syabrubesi

Drive to Syabrubesi: The journey starts with a scenic drive from Kathmandu to Syabrubesi, the gateway to the Langtang region. This 7-8 hour drive offers wonderful views of the Trishuli River and terraced fields, winding through hilly landscapes as you head toward the Tamang and Sherpa regions. Syabrubesi is a popular starting point for trekkers heading to Langtang, with a range of teahouses to stay in.

Day 02: Trek from Syabrubesi to Gatlang

Trek to Gatlang: After breakfast, begin your trek towards Gatlang, a traditional Tamang village located at 2,200 meters. The trek takes about 5-6 hours, passing through lush forests, small streams, and terraced fields. Gatlang offers beautiful views of the surrounding mountains and is known for its cultural significance and vibrant Tibetan-style houses.

Day 03: Trek from Gatlang to Somdang

Trek to Somdang: From Gatlang, you’ll continue your trek towards Somdang, situated at 3,270 meters. The route passes through dense forests, offering glimpses of wildlife and vibrant flora. The trek is moderately challenging, taking about 6-7 hours. Somdang is a beautiful village surrounded by stunning mountain scenery, and it’s a perfect place to rest and soak in the atmosphere.

Day 04: Trek from Somdang to Tipling via Pangsang La

Trek via Pangsang La: This is one of the highlights of the trek. You’ll ascend to Pangsang La (3,840m), a pass that offers stunning panoramic views of the surrounding peaks, including Langtang Lirung, Ganesh Himal, and Manaslu. The trek to Tipling is roughly 6-7 hours, and Tipling itself is a scenic, remote village with traditional houses and beautiful landscapes.

Day 05: Trek from Tipling to Chalish Gaon

Trek to Chalish Gaon: After breakfast, continue your trek towards Chalish Gaon, a village located at around 2,150 meters. The trail takes you through picturesque forests and farmland, and the trek should take around 6 hours. Chalish Gaon is a peaceful village, with great views of the surrounding peaks and a great spot to experience Tamang culture.

Day 06: Trek from Chalish Gaon to Khading

Trek to Khading: From Chalish Gaon, you’ll trek towards Khading, a village located at 2,400 meters. The trail takes you through thick forests and offers glimpses of local life in the rural villages of the area. Khading is a great place to experience the charm of traditional mountain life, and the trek will take around 5-6 hours.

Day 07: Trek from Khading to Lower Borang

Trek to Lower Borang: On this day, you’ll head towards Lower Borang, a village located at around 1,800 meters. The trek will take about 5-6 hours, mostly downhill, through forests and small villages. Lower Borang is a great place to explore the surrounding rural landscape and enjoy the tranquil atmosphere.

Day 08: Trek from Lower Borang to Dundure and Drive to Kathmandu

Trek to Dundure: On the final day, you’ll complete the trek by heading to Dundure, a point where the road to Kathmandu is accessible. From here, you’ll drive back to Kathmandu, which takes approximately 7-8 hours. The drive offers scenic views of the foothills and the Trishuli River as you make your way back to the hustle and bustle of Kathmandu
