The Langtang, Gosaikunda and Helambu Valley trek is one of the most diverse and easily accessible trekking routes in Nepal. Langtang valley is mostly inhabited by the fascinating Tamangs, whose religious practices, language and dress are very similar to Tibetans, while the Helambu valley is inhabited by the famous Sherpa people. This region has a fascinating history with the salt trade with Tibet playing a major role. The trek can be extended by including the Tamang Heritage Trail before entering the Langtang Valley.
