Trip Overview

This short 3-day relaxed trek provides a wonderful introduction to any trekking experience in Nepal. Trekkers will be accommodated in a combination of home-stay, lodge and a hotel to sample the best of what Nepal can offer and all are situated around the valley rim from where they will see the glories of both sunrise and sunset on the magnificent Himalayan mountains, a mere 50 kilometers to the north, as well as experiencing rural Nepali village life away from the main mountain trekking regions but within easy reach of the capital.

The trek will follow in a clock wise direction across the hills in the north of the valley from west to east, the maximum altitude reached will be will be 2,392metres at Manichur. Each day your trek will involve 5 to 6 hours gentle trekking, trekking distances are approximations, with plenty of time for photography and bird watching, accommodation will be based on twin sharing and three meals a day.

Day-01: Drive to Sundarijal 1325m and hike to Manichur 2392m (5 hours, 9km)
Day-02: Hike from Manichur2392m to Nagarkot 1965m (5-6) hours via Jorsing Pauwa (lunch) 1750m 19km.
Day-03: Hike from Nagarkot 1965m to Dhulikhel 1540m 22km
Day-04: Hike (optional) from Dhulikhel 1540m to Namo Buddha 1760m and then drive back to Kathmandu 11km
