Overview

Pikey Peak trek is a newly opened trekking route in the Solukhumbu Region south of Everest. Pikey Peak is a one of the tallest "Hills" in Solu. The name Pikey is derived from the name of a Sherpa Clan deity.

This peak offers a majestic view of the Everest Himalayan Range and Numbur Chuli and Sir Edmund Hillary once referred to the views from the summit as one of the most spectacular vantage points in Solukhumbu while at the same time being close to Kathmandu.

Itinerary

Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu airport 1345m you will by your guide and transferred to your hotel by private tourist vehicle. Overnight at hotel, inclusive B & B.

Day 02: A morning of guided sightseeing followed by lunch and then a trek briefing after which there will be time for last minute purchases and packing before your complimentary Welcome Dinner, a meal of Nepali cuisine and cultural dance.

Day 03: Drive from Kathmandu to Dhap Bazzar 2850m 7 hours by private jeep.

Day 04: Trek from Dhap Bazzar to Jhapre 2815m 4 hours via Sigane.

Day 05: Trek from Jhapre to Pikey Base Camp 3585m 5 hours.

Day 06: Trek from Pikey Base Camp to Junbesi 2680m 6 hours via Pikey Peak 4065m.

Day 07: Exploration day trip to Thupten Chholing Gompa 2920m 4 hours.

Day 08: Trek from Junbesi to Phaplu 2380m 4 hours.

Day 09: Fly from Phaplu to Kathmandu which takes about 35 minutes.

Day 10: Rest and final retail theory day!

Day 11: Final Departure from Kathmandu.
